So today I watched my first ever episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it was pretty weird. Anytime you hear vampire nowadays you think of hmm, Edward Cullen, Jacob, or that one show Vampire Diaries. This was weird because, well it focused on a girl, for starters. Its not a very vampire like show, its more of a typical highschool type of show. I thought it was kinda weird that the vampire slayer, is a fairly normal girl at the school, a nice person thats well known and she tries fairly hard to fit in versus other vampire shows where the vampire is a sort of outcast. I also think its odd that the vampire slayer ends up confessing to a librarian. Theres a lot of people but the librarian is the one that becomes a friend to her, well not a friend but a person she confides in. I also find it odd that the slayer gets accepted by people at the school so quickly, she walks in, drops a few things, and then is accepted by a fairly popuar girl. She’s a vampire slayer, and is a fairly normal person, and she also is trying to find a way out of the business of slaying. She wants to stop killing people and try to lead a normal life from the first episode, she tries to fit in with everyone and stop being a slayer even though that is her title. This show definetly breaks the stereotype of typical vampire shows, its much different in many ways. I’ll probably watch more of this show over others.
